[ARCHIVED] Free and Almost-Free Health & Social Services for Residents Affected by COVID-19 via

Find Help Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona, [October 6, 2020] – Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) announces the launch of its revamped Find Help Phoenix website at to help county residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic easily access the free and almost-free health and social services they need.

With over 140,000 cases of COVID-19 and more than 3,400 deaths from the disease, Maricopa County has been particularly hard hit by the novel coronavirus. Residents have been affected in many ways: loss of employment and healthcare benefits, loss of housing, food needs and more. Quarantining and social distancing have brought about their own issues, including domestic violence concerns and the loss of support for children, such as school and childcare that may not currently be available.

To best serve residents, MCDPH created the Find Help Phoenix website and its sister Spanish site,, with easy-to-use categories, including:

  • Housing and Utility Services
  • Food and Clothing Services
  • Employment Services
  • Parenting and Childcare Services
  • Kids and Youth Services
  • Domestic Violence Victim Services
  • Mental Health/Addiction Services
  • and many more

Information for the approximately 1,500 service providers is checked regularly for accuracy and includes: description of services offered, cost (if any), location, and a phone number and/or website link to contact the organization.

“Given the increased need for social support services recently, it’s so important that our residents can easily find the health and social services they need, in both English and Spanish,” said Marcy Flanagan, executive director at Maricopa County Department of Public Health. “We hope this will help people quickly get connected to the service organizations that are ready to support them.”

While the original Find Help Phoenix and Encuentra Ayuda Phoenix websites were launched in 2012, both newly revamped sites offer an improved user experience on desktop, tablet and smartphones. Demonstrations of the functionality of both the English and Spanish websites are available by request.
