    About Office of Information Technology

    The Office of Information Technology directs, develops, manages, and supports the computer and information systems needs and infrastructure for the entire department. It also provides the department with a strong, dynamic, competitive edge in information systems technology and provides the user community with the highest level of service and support.

    The Office of Information Technology places major emphasis on investing in information technology and managing information resources effectively. Beyond modernizing existing systems, Information Technology (IT) managers and staff across the department strive to make new and better information technology products and services available to the work force and the public. The Office provides users with computer support, training, and service to keep users current in information and technology tools. The Office also supports and provides a current telecommunications infrastructure that responds to an evolving communications environment.

    For information technology needs, the Office develops and implements recommended standards, develops and maintains security policies and systems, and coordinates the acquisition of information technology by participating agencies.

    The Office provides the best data processing services to our customers through the effective utilization of existing and new information technology. The Office will continue to implement and support technologies and processes that will increase service to customers and enhance staff productivity.
